Andrew Putwain: You were previously the Insurance Commissioner of Maryland. Can you expand on your time there and what you came away noticing about insurance, particularly the investment realm?

Kathleen Birrane: I came away from my time as the Maryland Commissioner and my work at the national level at the National Association of Insurance Commissioners (NAIC) with a deep respect for the insurance industry and the regulatory community and for a sense of excitement about the level of innovation that's occurring across all areas of the insurance ecosystem, particularly as it relates to Artificial Intelligence (AI) and investments.
