New Q3 results highlight interest rate falls and alternative investments

Everest Group, Arch Capital, The Hartford, and Cincinnati Financial announce Q3 results.

How did The Hartford's Q3 investment results compare year-on-year?

Alternative investment returns drove good-sized increases in investment returns for some this quarter, according to the latest round of Q3 results.

Everest Group, the Bermuda-based insurer, said it had a “Sharpened focus” on incomes, which had paid off.

Net investment income increased to $540 million versus $496 million in the prior year quarter, which was driven by a larger asset base and strong alternative investment returns.
