Craig Sabal named as incoming New York Life CIO

A successor named after Tony Malloy announces retirement from the life insurance giant.

A new CIO for the industry giant.

New York Life announced on Thursday that Craig Sabal has been named Chief Investment Officer (CIO) of the company, effective January 1, 2026.

Sabal joined New York Life in 2020 as deputy CIO and will be responsible for the investment strategy, asset allocation, and management of New York Life’s general account, said the company’s press release.
